Chennai to Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari, located at the southern most tip of Indian Peninsula, where the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea & Bay of Bengal all meet. The only place in India where you can observe the Sunrise and set at the same beach.

Situated at a distance between 700 – 750 km (or) 800 – 850 km from Chennai, driving from Chennai to Kanyakumari by road is an incredible experience. The following routes can help you to reach the destination as planned.

Route 1: Chennai ECR – Puducherry – Chidambaram – Velankanni – Ramanathapuram – Manappad – Kanyakumari Road (15 hr)

Route 2: Chennai CMBT – Kanchipuram – Krishnagiri – Kozhinjipatty Toll – Dindugal – Madurai – Tirunelveli – Kanyakumari (15 hr)

We prefer route 2, as it has more places to experience on the way to Kanyakumari and lesser tolls compared to route 1.

Kanchipuram, a city in Tamilnadu, known for its traditional old-age temples, kanchipuram silk, ancient structures and historical legendary tales of its existence. On the way to Kanyakumari, take a short break to worship the God and take home the essence of sprituality with you.
